ARTEES is a nongovernmental and not-for-profit association, constituted by a group of artists, scientists, educators, professors, art-therapists. Its goal is to promote educative, cultural and socio-humanitarian values through arts and sciences means. ARTEES works mostly in the benefit of disadvantaged groups of children, youngsters and young adults and/or with special needs, particularly those exposed to violence and social exclusion risks. ARTEES promotes their rights, especially those related to the access to education and culture. ARTEES also promotes the dialog among artists and scientists working in the benefit of the young generation; the associations promotes dialogue in between generations, arts and science , in order to raise awareness on social subjects - such as human rights, memory protection, historic realities, environment protection – using contemporary arts and multimedia tools. Since 2005, ARTEES has been coordinating several Youth in Action and Grundtvig projects on using media and participative arts in education. Due to their involvement in transnational projects ever since its establishment, ARTEES’ staff members have achieved high expertise in project management, evaluation, and training.
